WHITE GARMENTS CHARACTERISATION
IN THE ASIAN PACIFIC REGION

A joint effort of the regional detergents industry to relieve the environment, better respond to the current needs of consumers, and improve laundry product margins.

This is a program open to the entire region

The investment on your part is a few hundred dollars and you will have access to the analysis of garments from the entire region.

The programs will provide unique technical information for the design of laundry formulations. Specifically, the programs seeks to collect current evidence from a particular market with the purpose of:

* Entirely or partially eliminate the use of optical brighteners (fossil materials) in laundry products.

* Select shading agents in laundry products that can influence the perception of cleanliness and whiteness.

* Quantify soil deposition in the first few washes of local commercial white garments and its influence on whiteness.

* Define, in local visual scenarios, those white garments that are the reference target when consumers evaluate the washing results.

Participation only consists of buying new white garments, cutting them and sending them to Quito, ECUADOR. That’s all. The selection of the cities and places of purchase only depends on the interest in knowing those realities relevant to one’s commercial interests. CONSUMERTEC is responsible for the lab work that includes first washes, instrumental analysis by spectrofluorimetry, data processing using advanced-colorimetric tools and making the pertinent observations. The technical validity of the results has international accreditation recognised in several countries in the regions (see list at the end). The investment of the participant will be a few hundred dollars (the purchase of the garments and the shipment). With this, the participant will have access to data and analysis of everything sent in the Asian Pacific and Latin American regions by others participants using web tools like Laundry-VR and protected cloud sheets. CONSUMERTEC’s participation is “pro bono publico”, i.e. not for monetary gains; in other words, it offers free-of-charge services. It is a good cause with potential benefits to the environment, the consumers, and the industry.

If you, your team or your company wishes to participate in the programs; the first step would be to know your intention by responding  in this way. It is essential to clarify that the programs does not require in any way the sharing of confidential information or the signing of any agreement or commitment. It is a voluntary participation to alleviate our natural environments and to generate mutual benefits. CONSUMERTEC will keep the involvement of a person or a company as CONFIDENTIAL. If you like to see examples of results or need more details, we can hold a videoconference to expand the topic according to your convenience.
